Acrobat - Cannot Open Adobe Acrobat PDF Files

Problem:
When attempting to open an Adobe Acrobat file from Microsoft Office the user receives the message Windows cannot open this file.

Solution:
- Verify that the file type the user is attempting to open ends with .pdf
- Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add/remove programs and verify that Adobe Reader is installed.
- If it is installed you should Select the program from a list

- Next select the program type Adobe reader under Recommended Programs.

- Select Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
- Select OK
At this point, the PDF document should now open.
